Complete renovation, waterproofed to last

Every bathroom renovation starts with proper substrate and waterproofing — because water damage behind tile is the most expensive mistake in home remodeling. We use cement board backer and liquid waterproofing membrane in all wet areas before any tile touches the wall.

  • Full demolition — tile, drywall, fixtures, tub/shower
  • Cement board and waterproofing membrane in wet areas
  • Floor and wall tile — porcelain, ceramic, stone, subway
  • Walk-in shower pan fabrication and framing
  • Vanity, sink, and mirror installation
  • Toilet, faucet, and shower fixture rough-in
  • Exhaust fan upgrade — important for Alabama humidity
  • Licensed & insured, all permits managed

What's included

  • ✓ Free on-site estimate and design consultation
  • ✓ All permits pulled and inspections scheduled
  • ✓ Licensed plumber on every plumbing change
  • ✓ Tile and fixture selection guidance
  • ✓ Full cleanup before we leave each day

Why waterproofing matters in Alabama: High humidity means even small gaps in waterproofing lead to mold behind tile within months. We don't skip steps.

From basic refresh to full master bath overhaul

Whether you need a simple vanity swap and paint refresh or a full demo-to-studs master bath rebuild with a custom tile shower, soaking tub, heated floors, and frameless glass enclosure — we've done it. Most of our bathroom renovation clients start with one clear goal (a new shower, or a new vanity) and expand the scope once they see how much more is possible within their budget. We help you prioritize the elements with the biggest impact on livability and resale value, and we give you an honest cost breakdown for each phase so you can decide what to do now and what to defer.

We coordinate plumbing, electrical, tile, carpentry, and fixture installation so you have a single point of contact instead of juggling multiple contractors who each have their own scheduling, pricing, and quality standards. That means one estimate, one contract, one timeline, and one person to call if anything needs attention during the project. We've worked with the same licensed plumbers and electricians on bathroom jobs throughout Northwest Alabama and our relationships with those tradespeople directly affect schedule reliability and quality consistency on your job.

Walk-in shower conversions in Northwest Alabama

Converting a tub/shower combo to a walk-in shower is one of the most popular bathroom upgrades in Northwest Alabama, especially for master bathrooms and aging-in-place renovations. The process involves removing the tub, building a mortar bed or foam shower pan sloped correctly to the drain, waterproofing the pan and all surrounding walls to at least 6 inches above the flood threshold, and tiling the floor and walls with the material of your choice.

The most critical step is the drain connection and pan slope. An improperly sloped pan pools water and degrades the grout and waterproofing membrane over time. We get this right every time — it's the foundation everything else sits on. Frameless glass doors, tile niches, and bench seating are all available additions to a custom shower build.

Tile selection and installation for Alabama bathrooms

Tile is the most visible finish in any bathroom and the most important from a waterproofing standpoint. We install porcelain, ceramic, natural stone, large-format tile, and mosaic tile for floors and walls. For shower floors specifically, we recommend smaller-format tile (2x2 or 3x3 mosaic) because it allows more grout joints to accommodate the pan slope — larger tile is harder to slope correctly without lippage.

For bathroom floors outside the shower, large-format porcelain tile (12x24 or larger) has become very popular and photographs beautifully, but it requires a very flat subfloor. We assess your subfloor flatness before tile selection and address any high or low spots. For second-floor bathrooms with plywood subfloors, we install uncoupling membrane before tiling to prevent cracking from seasonal subfloor movement.
